Painters in King

Absolut Painting paints homes in King: interiors, exteriors, trim, shutters and cabinets for the estate lots around King City, Nobleton and Schomberg. Houses here sit at the end of long driveways, and they are big. Tall foyers, long hallways, more trim than a city house carries, and exteriors in stucco, stone and painted wood that face open country and take weather from every side. The painting is the same craft, but the scale changes how the job is booked. We walk the whole house, inside and out, and write a quote that lists every step of prep.

King in detail

King, on the ground.

Estate builds are drywall with tall ceilings and heavy millwork, which means scaffold in the foyer, extension poles on the walls and a sealed spray area for crown, casings and doors. Farmhouses and rebuilt farmhouses bring plaster that has cracked, deep window reveals and trim that has been painted for a century, all filled, sanded and primed before colour. Exteriors are the bigger decision. Three storeys of painted wood or stucco need a lift or a tall scaffold, and the wood is washed, scraped and primed before two coats go on. Shutters and garage doors come off or get masked and sprayed.

On site, furniture is moved and covered, floors protected, holes filled, cracks caulked, sanded and spot-primed. Two full coats, cut by hand at the ceiling and the trim, tape pulled while the paint is still soft. The crew stays on site for the full booking rather than driving out for half days, cleans up every day, and walks the finished rooms with you before leaving. A touch-up visit follows. Benjamin Moore and Sherwin-Williams paint, a [2-year] written workmanship warranty, insured and WSIB covered [John confirms]. John Kotlar quotes the job and leads the crew.

Rural addresses in King are booked as consecutive full days with the same crew, because the drive makes half days a waste of your time and ours.

Housing

King runs to estate lots, rebuilt farmhouses and large houses on acreage, with tall drywall rooms, heavy millwork and stucco, stone and painted wood exteriors.

Access and logistics

Long private driveways give room for a van, a lift and scaffold, so the crew confirms the gate code, the site contact and where the lift can park before arriving.

Jobs we see most

Whole-house interiors with sprayed millwork, three-storey exteriors, shutters and garage doors, and cabinet refinishing make up most of the King work.

Questions from King

Our house in King is three storeys with a stucco exterior. Can you reach all of it safely?

Yes. Three storeys on a sloping lot takes a boom lift or a tall scaffold rather than ladders, and we plan that at the walkthrough by looking at where the ground is firm and where the lift can park. The stucco is washed, cracks are patched, and two coats of elastomeric go on from the lift. The equipment is its own line on the quote so you can see what the height adds.

How long is the crew on site for a whole-house repaint on an estate lot?

Long enough to finish without coming and going. We book King jobs as consecutive days with the same crew, work floor by floor so you always have finished rooms, and set up a sealed area for spraying trim and doors that stays in place until the trim is done. [John confirms the number of days once the room list is final.] A gate code and a site contact are confirmed the day before we arrive.

Can you paint our shutters and garage doors to match a new trim colour?

Yes. Wood or composite shutters come off, are washed, sanded, primed where bare and sprayed with two coats of exterior enamel, then rehung. Steel garage doors are washed, scuff-sanded and sprayed or rolled in place with the surround masked. Both are small jobs on their own and are usually done alongside the trim so the colours are mixed from the same batch.
