White Dove

Whole-house walls, cabinets and trim in older houses with wood floors. A touch of grey keeps it from going yellow. It warms slightly in evening light and stays soft at noon.

Notes

White Dove is the white that gets specified when the client says they want white but not hospital white. It has enough warmth to sit comfortably with oak floors and brass hardware, and enough grey to avoid the cream look that dates a room.

It is one of the most common cabinet colours we spray because it photographs cleanly and hides fingerprints better than a pure white. On walls in eggshell it gives a calm background that lets art and furniture lead.

Questions about White Dove

Does White Dove look yellow?

Not in most rooms. Beside a very cool white such as Chantilly Lace it reads warmer, which is the point. We paint two sample squares side by side so you see the difference on your own wall.

Can I use White Dove on walls and trim?

Yes. Walls in eggshell and trim in satin of the same colour is a quiet, modern approach that also makes touch-ups easier.
