Interior painting in East York
East York is small wartime and postwar houses plus Leaside brick, with plaster walls, cast iron radiators, low ceilings and painted trim from the 1920s onward. Older walls bring plaster cracks and layers of old paint to prime over, and newer builds bring tall ceilings, open stairwells and builder-grade flat paint that soaks up a first coat. Interior painting questions from East York
Can you paint my East York home while we live in it?

Can you paint our cast iron radiators?
Yes. They are wire-brushed to remove loose paint and rust, wiped down, primed with a rust-inhibiting primer and painted with a heat-resistant enamel, sprayed where the room can be sealed off. It is done with the heat off and the radiator cool, so spring and summer are the time to book it. Painted radiators look like part of the trim rather than something to hide.
