Condo and apartment painting in Milton

Condo and apartment painting is run around the building: elevator booked, work hours kept, low-VOC paint on the walls and the suite handed back on the date. First repaints over builder paint, garages, front doors, trim and doors, and cabinet refinishing lead the work in Milton.

Condo and apartment painting · Milton

Milton, on the ground.

Milton is mostly new subdivision housing with nine foot ceilings, smooth drywall and builder flat paint, plus a smaller older plaster core near the original town. Newer towers bring open layouts, floor-to-ceiling glass, concrete ceilings and builder flat paint, and older low-rise apartments bring plaster, radiators and more trim. Wide driveways and attached garages make it simple to park and set up sprayers, and most main floors are a level carry from the door. The crew works to the elevator window, covers floors and furniture, fills and sands, rolls two coats with hand-cut edges at glass and concrete and removes debris through the service corridor.

Builder paint in Milton is the same one off-white on walls and ceilings, so the first repaint is as much about separating the surfaces as changing the colour.

What moves the quote in Milton

No figures published. The drivers, in order.

DriverWhat we look at
Suite size and layoutA one-bedroom with an open living area paints quickly. A three-bedroom with a den, two bathrooms and long hallways takes longer.
Ceiling typeSmooth drywall ceilings roll normally. Exposed concrete, stipple or very tall ceilings take more care and more time.
Occupied or emptyAn empty suite between tenants is the fastest version of this job. A furnished one adds moving and covering in each room.
Building accessElevator windows, parking and work hours decide how many hours the crew can paint in a day, and therefore how many days the job takes.

The building sets the rhythm. Once we know the elevator window and the hours, the day count on the quote is firm, and the paint line matters less than most people expect.

Condo and apartment painting questions from Milton

Do you paint condos in Milton before move-in?

Yes. Painting an empty Milton suite between closing and move-in is the fastest way to do it. We book the elevator for the days between and have it done before the movers arrive.

What does my Milton building need from you?

Usually an elevator booking, a certificate of insurance and WSIB clearance, and sometimes a deposit for the elevator pads. We supply the paperwork for Milton buildings [John confirms] and keep to their work hours.

Can you paint the inside of our garage?

Yes. Garage drywall is usually bare or lightly sprayed by the builder, so it takes a full primer coat and two coats of a durable eggshell or satin that can be wiped, with the floor and the door tracks masked. It is a quick job in an empty garage and much slower in a full one, so we ask you to clear what you can first. A painted garage reads as part of the house and is easier to keep clean.

We want a dark colour on the front door. Is there anything to know?

Two things. A dark front door on a sunny elevation should be painted with a heat-reflective exterior enamel or a colour from the manufacturer's range rated for doors, so the slab does not warp. And the door is best painted off the hinges, laid flat and sprayed, then rehung, or painted in place early on a mild day so it can close by evening. It is the smallest exterior job we do and one of the most noticed.
