Condo and apartment painting in Ajax
Driveways and attached garages give the crew a clear path, and the work runs room by room around a family living in the house. The crew works to the elevator window, covers floors and furniture, fills and sands, rolls two coats with hand-cut edges at glass and concrete and removes debris through the service corridor. Condo and apartment painting is run around the building: elevator booked, work hours kept, low-VOC paint on the walls and the suite handed back on the date.
Concept imageryAjax, on the ground.
Ajax is dominated by drywall subdivision houses from the 1990s onward, mostly occupied by families, with a band of older plaster streets near the lake. Newer towers bring open layouts, floor-to-ceiling glass, concrete ceilings and builder flat paint, and older low-rise apartments bring plaster, radiators and more trim. Family-house interiors in washable finishes, hallways and stairs, feature walls, trim and doors, and cabinet refinishing are the common Ajax jobs.
Many houses in Ajax are full of children, so the finishes are chosen to be wiped down and the rooms are returned to use each evening.

No figures published. The drivers, in order.
| Driver | What we look at |
|---|---|
| Suite size and layout | A one-bedroom with an open living area paints quickly. A three-bedroom with a den, two bathrooms and long hallways takes longer. |
| Ceiling type | Smooth drywall ceilings roll normally. Exposed concrete, stipple or very tall ceilings take more care and more time. |
| Occupied or empty | An empty suite between tenants is the fastest version of this job. A furnished one adds moving and covering in each room. |
| Building access | Elevator windows, parking and work hours decide how many hours the crew can paint in a day, and therefore how many days the job takes. |
The building sets the rhythm. Once we know the elevator window and the hours, the day count on the quote is firm, and the paint line matters less than most people expect.
Condo and apartment painting questions from Ajax
Do you paint condos in Ajax before move-in?
Yes. Painting an empty Ajax suite between closing and move-in is the fastest way to do it. We book the elevator for the days between and have it done before the movers arrive.
What does my Ajax building need from you?
Usually an elevator booking, a certificate of insurance and WSIB clearance, and sometimes a deposit for the elevator pads. We supply the paperwork for Ajax buildings [John confirms] and keep to their work hours.
Our walls are covered in scuffs and dents from the kids. Do we need the whole house repainted?
Not always. If the colour is staying and the paint is only a few years old, the worst rooms and the hallway can be repaired and repainted on their own, with the new paint feathered into the old at a corner. If the colour is changing or the paint is older, a full repaint reads better, because touched-up areas show in side light. We tell you which case you are in at the walkthrough.
Can you do just one feature wall?
Yes. A single wall is a normal job, and it is where a deep colour belongs in most Ajax houses. The wall is filled and sanded, primed with a grey-tinted primer matched to the colour, and given two coats with the edges cut by hand at the ceiling, the trim and the inside corners. Both neighbouring walls are masked so the line is crisp. A small job, and one we are happy to book on its own.
