Interior painting in Caledon
Interior painting from Absolut means furniture covered, holes filled, two full coats and edges cut by hand. Whole-house interior repaints, exterior siding and trim, farmhouse plaster and trim, and cabinet refinishing are what we expect in Caledon.
Concept imageryCaledon, on the ground.
Caledon has estate builds with tall drywall rooms, converted stone and brick farmhouses with thick plaster, and country houses with wood siding and stucco outside. Older walls bring plaster cracks and layers of old paint to prime over, and newer builds bring tall ceilings, open stairwells and builder-grade flat paint that soaks up a first coat. Rural driveways are long and there is room to park a van and set up sprayers, ladders and scaffold on site for a booking that runs several days. The crew covers furniture and floors, repairs and spot-primes the walls, rolls two coats with hand-cut edges and walks the house with you before leaving.
Older houses in Caledon have thick walls that can hold moisture, so the finish is chosen to breathe and any damp is flagged before painting.

No figures published. The drivers, in order.
| Driver | What we look at |
|---|---|
| Wall area and ceiling height | A nine foot wall takes more paint and more ladder time than an eight foot one, and a two-storey foyer takes staging. |
| Condition of the walls | A few nail holes is normal prep. Nicotine, water stains, failing paint or plaster cracks need primer and repair before colour. |
| Colour change | Going from a deep colour to a pale one, or from pale to deep, can need a tinted primer or a third coat to cover evenly. |
| Furniture and occupancy | An empty house paints faster than a lived-in one where each room is cleared, painted and put back in turn. |
The paint line itself moves the quote less than people expect. Prep and access are what set the number, and the written quote shows each room as its own line.
Interior painting questions from Caledon
Can you paint my Caledon home while we live in it?
Yes. Most of our interior work is in occupied homes in Caledon. We paint one or two rooms at a time, put furniture back each evening and keep the paint low-VOC so you can sleep in the house.
How soon can you start an interior job in Caledon?
Usually within [n] weeks of the signed quote. Interior work runs all year, so winter is a good time to book a Caledon interior while the exterior season is closed.
How do you schedule a whole-house repaint on a large Caledon property?
As a continuous booking, wing by wing or floor by floor, so you always have finished rooms to live in and the crew is not driving out for half days. We agree the order of rooms at the walkthrough, set up a sealed area for spraying trim and doors, and keep the same crew on site from start to finish. [John confirms the number of days once the scope is final.]
Our farmhouse exterior is wood siding that has not been painted in a long time. Where do you start?
With a wash to remove dirt and mildew, then scraping every loose edge back to sound paint and feather-sanding the steps. Bare wood gets a full exterior primer, and the rest is spot-primed. Then two coats of exterior acrylic. Boards that are soft or split are flagged before painting. On a large farmhouse that prep is most of the job, and it is listed on the quote so you can see why.
