Condo and apartment painting in Markham
Condo and apartment painting is run around the building: elevator booked, work hours kept, low-VOC paint on the walls and the suite handed back on the date. Markham runs from heritage frame and brick houses in the Village and Unionville, with plaster walls and painted wood siding, to newer estate housing in Cornell and Angus Glen with tall rooms and builder flat paint. Newer towers bring open layouts, floor-to-ceiling glass, concrete ceilings and builder flat paint, and older low-rise apartments bring plaster, radiators and more trim.
Concept imageryMarkham, on the ground.
Newer houses take a van in the driveway and a level carry for scaffold, while heritage houses have narrow doors and halls that decide how the crew stages its equipment. The crew works to the elevator window, covers floors and furniture, fills and sands, rolls two coats with hand-cut edges at glass and concrete and removes debris through the service corridor.
An older house in Markham may sit in a heritage district, so exterior colours are chosen from palettes that suit the street and checked against the Town's guidance.

No figures published. The drivers, in order.
| Driver | What we look at |
|---|---|
| Suite size and layout | A one-bedroom with an open living area paints quickly. A three-bedroom with a den, two bathrooms and long hallways takes longer. |
| Ceiling type | Smooth drywall ceilings roll normally. Exposed concrete, stipple or very tall ceilings take more care and more time. |
| Occupied or empty | An empty suite between tenants is the fastest version of this job. A furnished one adds moving and covering in each room. |
| Building access | Elevator windows, parking and work hours decide how many hours the crew can paint in a day, and therefore how many days the job takes. |
The building sets the rhythm. Once we know the elevator window and the hours, the day count on the quote is firm, and the paint line matters less than most people expect.
Condo and apartment painting questions from Markham
Do you paint condos in Markham before move-in?
Yes. Painting an empty Markham suite between closing and move-in is the fastest way to do it. We book the elevator for the days between and have it done before the movers arrive.
What does my Markham building need from you?
Usually an elevator booking, a certificate of insurance and WSIB clearance, and sometimes a deposit for the elevator pads. We supply the paperwork for Markham buildings [John confirms] and keep to their work hours.
Our great room wall is about eighteen feet tall. How is that painted?
From a scaffold tower set on protected floors, with the crew cutting the ceiling line by hand and rolling the wall in vertical sections so the sheen stays even from top to bottom. A wall that tall shows lap marks if the roller dries between passes, so two painters work it together. The great room is its own line on the quote because of the equipment and the time.
The wood siding on our Markham Village house is chalking and the paint is thin. Is it ready for a repaint?
Chalking means the old paint has broken down and needs washing off before anything new will stick. The siding is pressure-washed, scraped where it is lifting, feather-sanded, primed on bare wood and spot-primed elsewhere, then painted with two coats of exterior acrylic. If the chalk is heavy, a full primer coat goes on. Exterior work waits for warm, dry weather.
