Condo and apartment painting in Brampton
Condo and apartment painting is run around the building: elevator booked, work hours kept, low-VOC paint on the walls and the suite handed back on the date. First repaints over builder paint, stair railings and spindles, doors and trim, cabinet refinishing and garage and front doors are the common Brampton jobs.
Concept imageryBrampton, on the ground.
Brampton is largely newer subdivision housing with square drywall, nine foot ceilings and builder flat paint, plus older and smaller plaster houses downtown and in Bramalea. Newer towers bring open layouts, floor-to-ceiling glass, concrete ceilings and builder flat paint, and older low-rise apartments bring plaster, radiators and more trim. Attached garages and wide driveways give the crew a place to park and set up sprayers, and most main floors are a level carry from the door. The crew works to the elevator window, covers floors and furniture, fills and sands, rolls two coats with hand-cut edges at glass and concrete and removes debris through the service corridor.
Because most houses in Brampton still wear a single coat of builder flat, the quote nearly always starts with a primer coat before the colour.

No figures published. The drivers, in order.
| Driver | What we look at |
|---|---|
| Suite size and layout | A one-bedroom with an open living area paints quickly. A three-bedroom with a den, two bathrooms and long hallways takes longer. |
| Ceiling type | Smooth drywall ceilings roll normally. Exposed concrete, stipple or very tall ceilings take more care and more time. |
| Occupied or empty | An empty suite between tenants is the fastest version of this job. A furnished one adds moving and covering in each room. |
| Building access | Elevator windows, parking and work hours decide how many hours the crew can paint in a day, and therefore how many days the job takes. |
The building sets the rhythm. Once we know the elevator window and the hours, the day count on the quote is firm, and the paint line matters less than most people expect.
Condo and apartment painting questions from Brampton
Do you paint condos in Brampton before move-in?
Yes. Painting an empty Brampton suite between closing and move-in is the fastest way to do it. We book the elevator for the days between and have it done before the movers arrive.
What does my Brampton building need from you?
Usually an elevator booking, a certificate of insurance and WSIB clearance, and sometimes a deposit for the elevator pads. We supply the paperwork for Brampton buildings [John confirms] and keep to their work hours.
Will you paint our garage door and front door?
Yes. Steel garage doors and front doors are washed, scuff-sanded, spot-primed where the factory finish has worn and painted with two coats of an exterior enamel made for metal. A front door in a dark colour on a sunny elevation should be a heat-reflective product so it does not warp. Both are quick jobs that change the look of the house from the street more than anything else outside.
Our house in Brampton is a few years old and still has builder paint. How many coats does a new colour take?
A primer coat plus two finish coats. Builder flat absorbs unevenly, so a colour applied straight over it dries patchy and shows roller marks. The primer is tinted toward the new colour, which also helps a darker shade cover. On a new house with nail pops, those are filled and sanded before the primer so they do not come back through the finish.
